Invisalign
Invisalign uses a series of clear, custom-fit, removable aligners to gently move your teeth into place. Most patients visit the office only every 10-12 weeks, and Invisalign works for teens and adults, including complex and surgical cases, often moving faster than traditional braces. Comprehensive treatment averages 14-18 months, at the same cost as braces, with a custom retainer included to protect your results.
Braces
Braces are a tried-and-true way to achieve your dream smile, and Dr. Bates designs every plan around your specific bite and goals. Using a system of brackets and wires, braces apply steady, gentle pressure to move teeth into their ideal position. Choose traditional metal brackets or clear ceramic brackets for a more subtle look, at the same price. Placement takes about an hour, visits run every 6-8 weeks, and treatment averages 20-22 months. Braces work well for kids, teens, and adults.
Retainers
Retainers keep your teeth from drifting back toward where they started, a natural process that continues throughout life. We custom-make every retainer using 3D scanning technology, and a set is included with your treatment. Nightly wear is what makes the results last — think of retainer use as the treatment phase's essential second half.
Early Treatment
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends every child have an orthodontic evaluation by age 7, while baby and adult teeth are still coming in together. At this stage, Dr. Bates can catch crossbites, crowding, early tooth loss, thumb habits, and other developing issues before they become harder and more costly to correct. When treatment is recommended, it's typically shorter and more targeted than comprehensive care, using braces, Invisalign, or a jaw expander to guide growth in the right direction.
Adult Treatment
Nearly half of our patients are adults, and we've treated smiles well into their 70s and 80s. Options range from quick Invisalign touch-ups for minor shifting to comprehensive treatment with braces or Invisalign for more involved cases. Beyond a straighter smile, treatment can make teeth easier to clean, ease jaw discomfort, and prepare your bite for veneers or implants. Whenever you start, you'll walk away with the confidence that comes from a smile you're proud of.
